Formandonos para la paz
MINISTERIO DE TRABAJO LOGOTIPO

Formándonos para la Paz 2025 is an alliance between the Ministry of Labor and the ILO that promotes competency-based training for 1,984 victims of the armed conflict in 20 municipalities across the country. The program strengthens occupational profiles and promotes employment, self-employment, and entrepreneurship, reaffirming that education and decent work are pillars for sustainable peace in Colombia.

The program combines technical training, psychosocial support, career guidance, and economic inclusion strategies in a comprehensive pathway that accompanies participants from the classroom and promotes their integration into the labor or productive environment. Each training process is designed to respond to the realities and potential of the territories, strengthening strategic sectors such as agribusiness, gastronomy, tourism, commerce, technology, and services, according to local economic vocations. In addition, Formándonos para la Paz promotes collaborative work with municipalities, departmental governments, victims’ organizations, educational institutions, and the business sector, ensuring that the training is relevant, continuous, and measurable over time. In doing so, it becomes an example of inter-institutional coordination between the State and international cooperation, demonstrating that peacebuilding is also woven through professional training and the creation of opportunities.

FORMANDONO PARA LA PAZ
FORMANDONO PARA LA PAZ

More than a technical and vocational training program, Formándonos para la Paz represents a human and social commitment to justice, dignity, and hope. In every life story there is a rebirth: women who discover their leadership, young people who find in education a path to break cycles of exclusion, and men who transform pain into productive opportunities.

The support of the ILO has made it possible to incorporate an approach based on decent work, gender equality, and respect for cultural diversity, ensuring that the training process is inclusive, safe, and transformative. In the territories, the presence of the program is felt not only in the classrooms, but also in local markets, entrepreneurial initiatives, and communities where participants begin to generate real change.

Formándonos para la Paz is, at its core, an invitation to believe once again in the power of education as a tool for reconciliation. Because when a victim of the conflict is able to receive training, find employment, and rebuild their life project, a part of the country is also rebuilt.
